We were doing the first test drive and we were asking oursleves “What’s that rattling?”
I Just wanna be clear, I only helped with the brakes. He did the shocks all by himself while I was at work this morning.

Some idiot did the a similar thing when my car was owned by the previous owner. I discovered it when doing some work/maintenance myself.
So the sad thing is that he’s not being more of an idiot than many so-called professional mechanics.
And on a past Civic I owned, a previous mechanic left an old valve cover gasket on top of the engine.
Given how I’ve observed how quite a few mechanics cut corners on even simple things like torquing wheel lug nuts properly, it doesn’t surprise me at all.

I suppose it’s better than what happened to mom.
She used to get pains in her chest after some surgery for a breast growth removal (which was benign) - they were months apart, only occurred in specific physical circumstances, etc. After a year or so she got over it and went back. They’d left a probe with a pointy end in her.
So I suppose it happens to everyone, sometimes. I’ve personally found that beers while working on the dirtiest jobs on the car contribute to lost tools, somehow.
